• Description: The GO! St. Louis Marathon, formerly the Spirit of St. Louis Marathon debuted in October 2000. It was changed from an October race to an April race in 2003.
  
  The marathon course starts and finishes in the historic St. Louis downtown area. As you begin the race, participants head toward the impressive Gateway Arch, before turning south and heading for the famed Anheuser-Busch brewery. The course also includes Union Station, City Garden, Forest Park (larger than New York’s Central Park), Washington University, City of Clayton, University City Loop (Voted one of the top ten streets in America), before heading down Market Street and the finish line.
