• Description: The 2012 Scenic City Half Marathon has been designated as the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) State Championship Event for Tennessee. State Championship plaques will be awarded to top overall, master, grandmaster, and senior grandmaser male and female half marathon winners.
  
  The Scenic City Half Marathon runs through the heart of Chattanooga, over the Tennessee River via the historic Walnut Street bridge, and back along the river by way of the scenic Tennessee Riverpark. It is a relatively flat and fast course.
