- Description: The Tri-It-High Triathlon and Du-It-High Duathlon are two of the Lake County Recreation Departments paramount summer events. New this year we've added Olympic distances to the Triathlon as well as a Youth Race. All three races will have swimming portions staged in the Lake County Swimming Pool, and running and biking portions staged in wooded areas surrounding Leadville and on the Arkansas Valley floor. Former race participants say this is one of the most enjoyable, well organized and scenic triathlons in Colorado.
The swim portion of the event will be held in the Lake County Swimming Pool. This is an indoor pool that will be heated to 81 degrees for race day and features 25 yard lap lanes. The bike and run courses will take place just west of the pool on breathtaking courses at the base of Mount Massive and on the scenic Turquoise Lake road. For the bike and run participants will encounter both paved and unpaved portions of the course.
