  New This year! The Biathlon Option!
  For those who are unable/do not wish to partake in the water segment of the Triathlon, we will be offering a Run-Bike race as an alternative. Your initial run will be extended alongside the river portion to the same bike transition station.

  We will be starting at the Piney River Trailhead of the Virginia Blue Ridge Rail Trail (VBRRT).
  The start and finish will now take place at the same location.
  Short Race...Long on Fun Race; solo or as a team of 2-4 people
  
  Check in 9-11:00 am
  Race Start 11:30
  $20 solo;
  $35 team of 2;
  $45 team of 3-4 (Triathlon Only)
  $45 for family (mom, dad, kids)
  
  Awards Ceremony: 1:15 PM at the trail head on Rt. 151.
  Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place finishers in each class

  Run 1.75 miles alongside the beautiful Piney River.
  Paddle 3/4 mile on the Piney's Class I - II rapids. (We are hoping for good water for the paddle portion of the race this year but, as you know, predictions this far in advance are iffy at best.)
  Bike 2.5 miles - 3/4 mile up Old Rose Mill Road alongside the Piney River and 1.75 miles up the Blue Ridge Rail Trail.
