Beginner Triathlete - Hip Injuries articles

Near the end of one of my long runs, I noticed my left hip aching. There was a slight pop with each step. The hip was sore for 2 days after the run.

How can gluteus medius weakness/problems be involved in iliotibial band syndrome? What specific exercises should be used in building gluteus medius strength in post-ITB syndrome treatment?

Differentiating between piriformis, sciatica and hamstring injury

Could this be related to IT band problems or someone thought it might be bursitis and what should I do to treat it? Also, should I see a sports med doc or orthopedic specialist?

I started tri training last July. Right now I am recovering from a stress fracture in my hip and I can't run. Any advice regarding keeping motivated?

It is getting better, but I don't know if I should stop running completely until it is gone for good, or if some running is OK. I want it to heal as fast as possible.
