"Overall I'm glad I went this route rather than the alternatives.
I will be adding the cadence sensor soon and likely the foot pod."mistahsinclair
Ease of use
There's a lot that can be done with the 405, it just takes time to figure out where everything is and what it does.
Quality of Construction
Pretty solid feel overall. I haven't had any issues with it yet.
Fit
For my own wrist size I fall between two strap positions. Usually the slacker one works out well once I'm warmed up.
Value
Given all the features and possible add-ons I couldn't be happier.
Customer Service
So far I've had one software issue (on the PC rather than the watch) which Garmin dealt with very quickly.
Strengths
Price, PC interface, quality of information.
Weakness
Bezel control can be sensitive and I need to lock it out when I'm working out. I've made the mistake once of not locking it out and messed up half of a run worth of data by bumping the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Ease of installation
Had a Forerunner 50 before the 405 which uses basically the same technology (minus GPS).
