"I wanted a heart rate monitor that would give maximum and average heart rates as well as zone settings. This watch did it all!

I upgraded to the Forerunner 405 to get the GPS capability also which is nice to have."mistahsinclair

Ease of installation

Everything was easy...ANT stick to connect to PC...the features...etc

Much easier to use than anything else similar I had used before.

Performance

For was it is I couldn't ask for more.

Strengths

Cheap, great connectivity, great upgrade potential (foot pod, cadence sensor).

Weakness

No GPS...but you don't get that from the price.

Update - got a footpod and had to use the Forerunner 50 after my 405 took a dive...with the footpod on it really is excellent...having no GPS is a minor detail!
