"I hesitated between the 310XT and the 405. 405 was smaller amd more esthetic but I could not swim with it. 310XT, I can swim with but the data captured during swimming is incomplete or useless.
If it picked up proper distance and HR in the water it would be perfeect"marcag

Performance
Great on bike, Great on run, below average on swim, see Weaknesses.
Strengths
For running and cycling it's great.
For timing your swim, transition, bike, transition, run, it's awesome.
It's nice to be able to wear it in the water.
Weakness
When swimming, the distance calculated and speed is waaaaay off and it doesn't pick up the HRM.
This was disappointing since I did want to use it to track my open water swim, pace and HR and various paces.
