"I received the FitBit Flex as a gift. It seems to measure 'activity level' fairly accurately even if it only reports out in steps or calories expended. I think it is best used in combination with tracking your caloric intake.
I track my calories fairly well during the day and then slack off for dinner. With the FitBit and before dinner calorie tracking, I can get an idea if I can have that after dinner snack or not.
The data is pretty basic but, in conjunction with calorie intake tracking...this is a worthwhile little device."hoffsquared
Ease of use
Fitbit Flex automatically syncs with Bluetooth 4 devices. You can view your data via a computer or mobile device. I give this a 4 since the help site is not exactly friendly...hyperlink to hyperlink to hyperlink. I've had to look up what the various little lights mean.
Quality of Construction
I have not used this long yet so I am not sure how it will hold up.
Fit
The unit came with two wristbands. One small and one larger. I'm pretty happy with how it fits.
Comfort
I hardly notice I am wearing it.
Adjustability
The unit came with two wristbands. One small and one larger. I'm pretty happy with how it fits.
Value
I think this really depends on how you use the unit and whether you incorporate calorie tracking into your data tracking.
Appearance
It is not the most stylish of wristbands. But it's ok.
Strengths
Seems to pretty accurately track my level of activity (except swimming). The unit counts 'steps'. It does this even when I bike but it does seems to sense how much I am exerting myself on the bike.
Weakness
Doesn't track any effort while swimming.
- 2 people use
- 2 workouts logged
- 6.15 miles / 1.08 hours logged
Ease of installation
You charged the unit up. Place it in the band and put the band on your wrist.
