  • Comments: 2nd time doing this event and it's really nice. lots of very good runners (winner was 29:42 - a 4:47 pace) and lots of other runners of various abilities.

  • Comments: I guess I've been spoiled at other races, but this year all I got at the end were a couple of orange quarters and a bit of banana. Went to Mi Amigo's expecting a breakfast burrito like last year, but they gave out $5.00 coupons instead. Couldn't find where they were giving out bottled water, but I still had some in the bottle I carried. On the other hand, it only cost $18 to register for this race, so you can't expect much...

  • Comments: I beat the Turkey!!! About the only thing I didn't like was that this was a gun start (no timing chips) race. Glad I crowded up near the line for the start.

  • Comments: There is a strange guy that wears a turkey outfit that is like a NFL team mascot costume. If you beat him, you get a certificate that says "I beat the Turkey!" I can't see why that guy would want to run in that thing... kudos to him. I guess he runs around 45 minutes every year in that thing too.
