  • Comments: Gene does a great job as the RD for this race. Lots of great volunteers and community support. Closed state highway for the bike is almost unheard of anymore.

  • Comments: This is an excellent course/race to do. I really thought there were more people there than what the numbers say. There are so many wonderful volunteers that are everywhere it seemed! Thank you! I did this race last year and thought it was my best performance of that year and it could be possible that this year was the same when this season is all said and done. I dropped around 12 minutes off my time from last year and took 2nd place out of all the age groupers and 9th out of the pro's! I was very happy with my performance. They give out cash prizes to the top 3 male/female pro's. First place got 1000$. Not sure why more people don't come to this race because it really is a great time!

  • Comments: This is an awesome event. There are volunteers all over and it's a memorial race for a police officer from that area who died some years back. They had roads closed off just for the bike and it was just a great race environment all around. They announced your name when you were running by during the run and when you finished as well. I look forward to doing this race again next year.

  • Comments: Very organized, everything was on time, plenty of volunteers to help and to cheer. It was perfect. Worth every penny. Aside from how well its run, its awesome just to race to remember Rodney, and to honor our police force in general as well.

  • Comments: I feel honored to race in memory of somebody that had such a community impact. It was extremely well put together and I was very happy to have raced (besides the nasty lake Decatur water!) The volunteers were awesome and did a great job! I'm also extremely proud of my family and friends that came to watch so early Sunday morning! Thanks to mom & dad, Alicia and her mom, and grandma & grandpa for coming. I felt great having so much support! And no ambulance this time for Alicia to have to watch!
