  • Comments: Very fun event but I had no idea what I was getting into. It was my first tri ever and I didn't realize how rugged the mountain biking would be nor how much it would take out of me...

  • Comments: My "training" dropped off significantly this month so I'm pretty glad I made it through this race fairly strong. While Chris never passed me, according to the results, he was 44 seconds faster. He beat me. And it is funny to me that the top 3 girls in my AG were 15 minutes faster than me on the run. hahahaha. dude. Oh well. 5th in my AG out of 11, 18th female out of 54. I'm going to say that's not too shabby for my first one. And miss Julia Purr called me the next day to tell me she was looking at my results and was impressed with my swim. She made me feel good. :)

  • Comments: This was the first year for the event - and it showed. Volunteers didn't know where things were or how things were structured. After the race there was no more music or festivities, so we sat in a dirt parking lot until the raffle was done. The bike course was grueling. Several people that I saw described it as "by far" the most technical course they'd seen in a race like this. On the course a lady who had recently finished an ironman described the ride as the hardest thing that she had ever done.
