  • Comments: Holy toledo was it hot out! The race started at 6pm and there was no shade on the course and the sun was still out...in the west of the sky but none the less it was sooooo HOT!!! Since I rode 40 miles earlier in the am I decided to run to have fun. I did not take my Garmin, I had no time goal, and I went by RPE and I had fun! I think there is a level if craziness to do a 5k in the heat like that but oh well. This was not one of my faster races but considering all of the factors (earlier ride, heat) I am very happy!
