  • Comments: This was my FIRST triathlon. It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the competition and the variety of three sports. The swim was the most chaotic. Hard to stay focused and get a rhythm. Bike ride was the most fun. Bike ride is fast, scenic, and cool! The location was great. State parks are great locations. I will definitely do another race.

  • Comments: I am glad that I did the series. It was fun and nice to see the same people at the races each time. I will do them again next year...maybe not all of them, but I will do some if not most. It was a great motivator to win hardware...even though if I had raced in my age group, I would not have gotten awards as much...It is still nice to get an award.

  • Comments: Finishing this race and the tri the park series was trully a personal accomplishment -- 3 tris and 2 du. I think I had so much fun in this one because I needed to prove to myself that I can complete a challenge when faced with injuries. My state of mind was clam as it could be in all races so far. Hey, getting sleep before the race is a GOOD thing. I make sure i have some sleeping pills on hand and use it for future pre-race ritual. I can NEVER rest the night beofre the race which results in poor race judgements and weak race energy -- all produces nervous mental state. I attribute my smooth swim to my rested mind. So, peeps -- make sure you get some rest the night before the race!!! It makes a HUGE difference. This is the first time my overall time was good enough to beat 2 of my buddy's time -- and they are great triathletes. So that was a bonus and a bragging right for the moment. LOL.. This is surely an incentive to train harder and improve for next season. One more race next weekend
