  • Comments: Excellent course, great staffing and volunteer support. Encouraging volunteers and other runners. Only "complaint" was the rough surface on the road in parts, but I heard they'll be repaving it over the next year so it might be better in the future.

  • Comments: This organization has a new RD. I think he has improved an already excellent race. Everything was right on time, results were posted VERY quickly and post race events were better than they have been in the past. I only wish I were better prepared, I could have easily hit the podium.

  • Comments: It was a fun race. There were tons of volunteers and lots of post race food. I would do it again if I can afford the trip. I think if I hadn't cramped or had to stop for the bathroom in T2 I may have podiumed. This was my first olympic distance in 12 years, so overall I'm pretty happy. I promised myself I would be happy with anything under 2:30 and I did it. On to a HIM in the spring!

  • Comments: When I signed up for this race back in November of last year. I had hoped that I could have improved my time from the St. George Triathlon back in May (I would have gotten a $15 gift certificate for some new shoes at the running center, if I improved my time from STG to Kokpelli). I thought it was easy money for me to do that as I had a bad swim in May and I felt my bike & running condition had improved a lot since May. But with a long season and having just completed my “A” race four weeks ago. I Hate to say it, but I may have been a bit burned out. Coming into the race my energy level wasn’t there to race, it felt more like a workout? I’ll chalk it up as a learning experience. But I did have positive experiences as well. I was able to finally meet my mentor Brian from the mentor program I did last year. It was great chatting with him and gaining more insight on triathlons and my goals of one day completing in a Iron Man events from him. Big Thanks to you Brian! Also as I was

  • Comments: My frustrations with my performance aside, this was a great race and a great trip. BBSC did their usual fantastic job with race organization and put on a wonderful event in a beautiful venue. Jenna, Barkley, and I had a fantastic time on this trip, which is the most important thing. The area was gorgeous and the people were all very nice to us. After a season where I did a little better with each race, I guess I was due to take a step backward and have an off day.
