  • Comments: What a wonderfully organized event! TONS of happy, energetic, & helpful volunteers. Their cheering and encouragement really helped along the way. The venue is terrific and the post-race feast was delicious. I really like the long-sleeved finisher t-shirt as well. I enjoyed myself thoroughly throughout the event, both racing and otherwise. It wasn't at all hectic, just fun, and energetic. A top-notch event, I would recommend it to anyone!!!

  • Comments: This was the best run of all of the races I've done. the RD (Jeff and Kat Donatello) were amazing. when I was told I wasn't going to make the cut off, I was very disappointed, but determined to finish none the less. they checked me out on the course several times, bringing water and Gatorade to make up for the lack of aid stations at that point (though two aid station stayed open just for me!) and even set up a finish for me when I got back. The volunteers and RD, and everything about this race was awesome

  • Comments: I loved this race. From the pre race communications, to the post race activities, everything was terrific. The race director and her crew are amazing, the volunteers were terrific and the venue is great!

  • Comments: I enjoyed the race overall - good learning experience. The volunteers were the best I'd seen. So nice and helpful. Very small crowd compared to Timberman/Mooseman/Black Fly which was nice. But the athletes weren't quite as friendly. Not a whole lot of encouragement. I am surprised that mentally I wasn't as tough as I thought. I really got bored. That worried me a bit of course knowing what is to come. I really wanted the race to be OVER from about 2/3 through the bike through the end! Even in the days leading up to it - I was more excited about it being over since it really took over so much of my life. But of course the feeling of accomplishment has now taken over and my body is feeling better. It's a little embarrassing saying it was harder than I thought it was going to be - but it really was!

  • Comments: 2008 Race Director of the Year! Prize Money for the Pros, great AG prizes for top 3 in each AG. Amazing post race party with a full sit down Harvest dinner with Turkey and all the fixins!! A beer tent by the Shipyard Brewpub and activities for the kids while you race!
