  • Comments: Fun race and for a good cause. Loved seeing some of the injured Marines racing alongside us. Made you feel proud of this great country and the people who serve it. Finished 3rd in both AG and military division but took the prize pack for military which was some pretty nice swag! Can you say free Oakleys? First time race director did a great job keeping the race well organized.

  • Comments: the shortened course was a bummer as I would have liked to compare against last year - just didn't seem right that time on bike is shorter than the run. Fastest bike and run splits in a sprint are kind of hollow accomplishments at that bike distance but it's always fun to race and certianly a good cause especially on Memorial Day Weekend.

  • Comments: I really enjoyed this race. I loved how convenient it was to get to the start for me. I also was reminded how it is fun to sometimes do smaller races.

  • Comments: There should have been more rescue craft out in the water... there were only 2 and this swim is brutal. The timing of this race is great and it's a nice way to start the summer and the triathlon season, but I may pass next year because the ocean swim this early in the season is too tough for my liking. It's just not fun.

  • Comments: The only issue I had with this race was really the swim portion...of course they were looking out for our safety in the water by trying to make the start point decision based on current and conditions but frankly there were not many lifeguards supporting the 380 athletes...only two guys on jet skis..no kayaks or paddleboard lifeguards...it couldn't have been challenging if someone had gotten in trouble. I would have liked a longer bike to challenge me more but they obviously had limitations..hope they change that for next year. Good race to kick off the season!
