  • Comments: Overall a good race, lots to look at and keep your mind off of running. Running with Team In Training was a huge help, it was an emotional day and the other TNT folks were a huge help out there.

  • Comments: Running into the parks and seeing the cast of characters was awesome! I got my picture taken with the Pirates of the caribean at one of the mile markers which was fun. Just the energy of the people running was awesome and definately got me through some tough times.

  • Comments: My friend D*** is my oldest-best-bud that I've stayed in touch with since 1982. We met right after boot camp and she is now a JAG officer. Anyhow, we did her first marathon together in 2001 (2002?) so I knew what to expect. I love D*** dearly but knew he wouldn't train properly. I showed up for OKC ready to run a 4 and a half hour marathon and she was not. I promised I'd stay with her and get her to the finish regardless of our time and that's what I did. WDW would be a repeat performance, albeit even slower. With more stress and family problems in her life than ever before, I knew when I signed up for this that we'd be even slower than OKC, hence my complete lack of caring about training. I knew I had enough aerobic fitness to get me to the finish line no matter how long it took. we had a pace chart and wrist band and pretty much just watched the cutoff time. Good thing too! Anyhow, the start was very cool with the fireworks and big video screen set up. We did a 3/1

  • Comments: I couldn't believe how much fun my first marathon was and how well I did, how great I felt. It seemed like I recovered quite quickly too which I didn't expect. You hear all the horror stories of how you're going to feel afterward, and I have to admit that I could walk around a lot better than I expected, even down the stairs...facing forward :) COACH ADAM: I am so grateful to you for your confidence in me to be able to accomplish all that I have set out to achieve thus far as an athlete. You convinced me that I could do all that I have and then you taught me how. You showed me the path, not the short cuts, and the journey has been incredible. Thank you.

  • Comments: I would give this race a 5 if they didn't run out of water at the aid stations. The course was for the most part fun and the crowds were great when they were there. It was awesome to meet and run with BTers. Their energy carried me those miles! I'd definitely do this race again (no, not the Goofy....just the marathon).

  • Comments: great race. i would recommend it to anyone that likes disney or good marathons. i would have liked more food on the course, but the entertainment, characters, parks, water, and medical stations were great. i might have to do it again just to enjoy the run a bit more next time!

  • Comments: Disney was a well supported, well organized, and very fun event. Running through the parks, the fireworks at the start, running through Epcot with everything lit up was very cool. I even understand asking everyone to get to the race by 4:00am (2 hours early) as the amount of roads you had to close to support this race really force then to do it. Everyone should try this race once, its quite an experience!

  • Comments: Disney does a great job on the Marathon weekend activities. And the number of volunteers, specators, and entertainment along the course is great and makes for a really great run. Looking forward to next year and the 15th anniversery race.

  • Comments: Disney puts on a great race. I can't comment on the 'normal' race because I had access to a bathroom on the bus, didn't have to wait in the corrals and didn't have to worry about where my stuff was. But it was a spectacular course with characters all around and you got to see Disney without paying for it. (sweat equity) But you also got to smell swamp gas on the 'desolate' areas.

  • Comments: I do not have the words to describe what this day and whole weekend were like for me. I cannot thank Chris, Shannon, Trixie, and Jess enough for getting me through this. Chris, I love you. You are the best friend I've ever had. I would never have even gotten to this weekend if it weren't for you, much less survived it. Shannon, Trixie, and Jess- you will never know how much you all meant to me that day. To know that you would give up your own race to help someone you'd just met is truly inspiring and humbling. I hope one day I can help someone else the way all of you helped me. I know I didn't talk back much to you the last few miles because I just couldn't, but know that I was taking in everything you were saying and it meant the world to me. I will never forget any of you or that incredible day.

  • Comments: Welcome to Goofy! I attended these races through friendly intimidation :) But, once committed I really wanted to do this. It's tough enough to marathon, but Goofy was insane. The course is not that great and I understand that they ran out of water later in the day at miles 13 through 20. The bling is top drawer though and while I wouldn't do this again, if one is looking to challenge themselves, this event is certainly up to that task. Congrats to all my fellow Goofy medalists. They really deserve some praise!

  • Comments: This was the best marathon I've ever done and the most painful. I wouldn't trade it for the world. As I look back on this race (2 months later) I realize how great Aaron was to stay with me the whole race. He was doing such a great job keeping my mind off my pain that I didn't realize at the time how bad of shape I was in and how much worse it would have been had he left me. I hope to return the favor to a friend (or anonymous racer) when they are in need. I plan on doing the Goofy Challenge again next year.

  • Comments: This was the best organized race I've ever been to! It was INCREDIBLE!! If someone was to do only one marathon in their life, this would be the one to do. The entertainment was top notch, the course was fast, the water stations were incredibly well stocked and organized. My only complaint, we need something with a little protein available after the race. Bananas, oranges (best ever, in fact), and Hostess are nice but just not quite enough "oomph". That's okay, though. VERY minor complaint!

  • Comments: Course, race, volunteers, water stations were perfect! Absolutely great race. Most mile markers had there own music and inspirational message, which I enjoyed. I am doing Goofy next year! (more race day pictures are available in my photo album. I will post actual race pictures when I receive them) Time to figure out what race I am doing next..........Gasparilla maybe???
