  • Comments: This really is a great race, especially for beginners. The YWCA really puts a lot of effort into supporting the racers--tons of volunteers, tons of water stations, tons of food at the end, lots of great options for teams/buddies/friends. For people like me who are not hard core racers, this is a great race.

  • Comments: I thought the race was very well organized and very fun and I'm glad I did it but probably won't be back. Too crowded for late wave racers and Nokomis water is gross.

  • Comments: This is a really nice race with lots of extra goodies. And TONS of volunteers. And really good post race food. Highly recommend, especially for those women new to the sport. I commented to my sister that this was probably the best weather day of any of the 36 triathlons I've done. It was absolutely. perfect. Sunny but not too hot, no wind, no humidity. Just beautiful.

  • Comments: I would highly recommend this race. It is super beginner friendly but also has a competitive field so it is nice for all sorts of athletes. My age group was really big and pretty competitive. It is nice to see so many women of all ages out there staying fit and looking good!

  • Comments: The race was well organized and it was super fun to do a race of all women! The only negatives where the long lines to get your timing chip and body marking done. I think this was more due to the fact that there were tons of beginners and not everyone knew exactly where to go or what to do so they moved slowly through the marking and chip pick up. Not a big deal. I'll be back to do this race again.

  • Comments: For me, this was overall an excellent job done. I ranked well and I feel I earned it, after pushing myself. I didn't come close to my time goal, about half of which can be attributed to my long swim and Ts. But I wasted 2 mins on that run. In general, I have mixed feelings about the race. I liked the Friday afternoon pickup at the YWCA Midtown. The volunteers were very nice and the decorations, signs, etc, were nice. I didn't like: the Transition setup, the lines at the beginning, the lack of a volunteer at the bike dismount (?? I had to ask the spectators), and the post race food was strange. They gave us lunch boxes from D'Amico, which, while delicious, is strange at 10:00 am. Maybe try for breakfasty food? If we must wait to get into transition until the last bike comes in, offer a bag check. Then, when the last bike arrives, let us know! I am going to write up a note for the RD.
