  • Comments: Nice local race, some things went wrong but something always goes wrong at a race. If I can fit it into my schedule, I will be back. Beautiful venue for a race and great accomadations at the race site.

  • Comments: So, shaved more than 2 minutes off of my time from 3 years ago, mostly due to a better swim, but looks like I might've improved overall in all three. Transitions might've been a bit slower as it was at a different location than 3 years ago. There weren't really any activities post race though I did win a "door" prize - a bottle of chocolate Hammer gel. Might be able to make use of that. But, unlike 2007, there wasn't much post race food for the racers (bananas, bagels, Heed, water, might've been something else). There was a band 3 years ago which was great! At least there was chip timing this year, though T2 in with the run was unexpected. Overall, this is a nice beginnner tri and close by, not too expensive. Nice lake OWS portion too. I may try the International distance in another year. Problem is that this tri is close to Eagleman which is why I haven't done it in a while (not doing Eagleman this year). Oh, nice T-shirt BTW this time. I think last it was a pukey green and

  • Comments: I'm really glad I did this race. I think it was just right for my abilities. It's nice to have my first OWS race under my belt. It was really a treat to make it a "destination race" where my whole family attended, and we stayed at the lodge on site. They really enjoyed seeing a whole race from start to finish, and all of the behind-the-scenes as well. We all got a kick at seeing so many people at the lodge afterward with numbers written on their arms and legs. :)

  • Comments: I loved this race and I think it was super for my first OWS tri. I talked to a few other racers who also really like the Rocky Gap triathlon. I will definitely do it again next year.

  • Comments: This is my second time at the Rocky Gap tri and I have enjoyed both. The setting is beautiful and the weather was great. My only negative comment would be that the food and drinks afterward were probably the worst at any tri Ive been too. Last year they had a decent choice this year left you saying "is that it?"

  • Comments: Fun local super sprint tri. I wish the bike were longer (to allow me to make up for my slow swim LOL)
