  • Comments: What an awesome race to do with my boys! And to win the relay on top was just great. Proud papa. It was so fun to hear "Bayek and sons" announced at the awards ceremony and then get on the podium with them. They were both so pumped they claim they want to train and maybe do one on their own next year. T already has two 15 and under events on his calendar and is wearing his medal to school today, and Z was figuring our ways he should have pushed harder to go a little faster, so we'll see. I can't wait for the day they can beat me!

  • Comments: As I mentioned - the volunteers were great. Being a slower participant, I didn't get anything to drink at the end of the race (they ran out)...which was dissapointing. Their web site was geared towards people who are from the area (satellite photos with no street names) and was confusing for those of us from away.

  • Comments: Very well organized. Lots of volunteers. Good Portopotty to racer ratio. Friendly atmosphere. Nice quiet race course. Scenic. Fun. Both my swim and bike performances were FOP. My T1/T2 and run were not. I know what my training focus will be on this winter.

  • Comments: Best I've done, but, hey, it's my first. So, I guess it has to be my best experience. I was so awed by the volunteers who really gave it everything they had and made the experience really awesome for me! I even got the goggles I lost and the "good luck charm" Eleanor gave me back! Volunteers found them. The sea turtle from Eleanor was handed back to me right at the finish line--a perfect finish! I thanked every volunteer I came into contact with because I was just so amazed at their supportiveness!
