Comments: There were more Olympic participants in the race this year and the organizers did a great job of managing them and making necessary changes to some small logistical issues from last year. The organizers were especially helpful to me in getting my into one of the unused "team" spots when the individual spots sold out. Kudos to them!!
Comments: Definitely wondering if my week before the race played a role in my performance. Two night shifts two days before the race. Up for 40hrs straight before the race and then only slept for 3-4hrs on the night before the race. My nutrition wasn't great throughout the week, too much sugar and peanut butter, not enough veggies, meat, and whole grains. I think I was fairly hydrated for most of the week though...
