  • Comments: A 12 minute late start isn't too bad, but getting to the beach and seeing the race staff realize there wasn't a clock on the beach?

  • Comments: Overall, even though I didn't quite make the time I was hoping for, I did improve my time on this course from last year by 42 minutes. So I shouldn't complain too much.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too hard

  • Comments: I say the overall course was hard only because of the hills...I am a big framed guy with broad shoulders and large quads. It favored more of a small framed climber. But it wasn't that bad in reality...just my training regiment I guess. I saw one biker get bad directions and the run course could have used 1 more volunteer/sign at a critical point early in the run....but it wasn't that bad.

  • Comments: This was my first triathlon. It was a small, local race that I decided to do for the experience before a bigger race later this summer. While my performance was not anywhere near what I had expected or am capable of, I'm really happy that I did at least finish. I even achieved my stated goal of not being DFL, just barely.

  • Comments: My company was one of the sponsors so I decided to do this race at the last minute and I am glad it did. Other than the long drive the race was fun. Other than not being USAT officiated (or officiated at all for that matter) everything was good. I have now done 2 "Norther" tri's and neither one has said anything about no drafting or even officated.
