  • Comments: Everyone should do this race ... it was very well run, the volunteers made this race great, the support of the small crowds was cool ... the post-race party was GREAT ... tents on the beach, lots of beer and food, few lines, and the tent was so huge that we weren't all crowded in. Good bands at the post-race party too. What a fun time!

  • Comments: VERY Well put together race! Other than the "issue" I had at packet pickup with them not having me on the list, it went well. My recommendation, if you send in a paper application, print out your participant list name off the web and a copy of your cancelled check. I felt like I was "being judged" and they were doing me a favor letting me race. I was not a happy camper! But the race as a whole...very well done. Kudos.

  • Comments: I really had a ball. I'll definitely do this again next year. Hell, maybe the full marathon, never say never. And I love it that I continue to meet excellent BT people and that none of them are felon perverts, as my friends and family keep warning me. :) Perverts, perhaps and maybe felons, but not both. Hah! Seriously, though-- because of this training and these sports, I've met great people I wouldn't have otherwise, both on BT and in real life. They're a lot of fun and I learn a lot from them. I'm grateful for that. Thanks, ya'll!

  • Comments: An incredibly well supported race - the water stops were all perfectly placed, and the "surprise" water stop at 12.5 was so SO wonderful.

  • Comments: Jerry and Amy put on a great race! Everyone got nice technical shirts and running hats plus a nice finisher medal. There was lots of food and beer at the finish party and they had a huge tent set up on the beach. The temp was perfect for racing but too cold for post-race festivities...but the tent covered that.

  • Comments: Wind took alot out of me both mentally and physically. Even though had a tailwind for last half, couldn't make up what I lost during first half. Should have had more water too. Feet got numb around mile 8 and felt like blocks of ice.
