Comments: Wow, what a race! Everything I expected it to be and more. I definitely have a feeling of accomplishment after a lot of hard work. I just remember my first workout Christmas Eve whem I barely made it through a four mile run. It removed the sense of shame I felt for not making it to the line at Nautica last Sept. I feel that I ran a good race based upon my 14 weeks of training. I survived the training with no injuries and came to the race fully prepared to complete the distance and meet the challenge. I owe most of my preparation to my mentor and friend Scott who really had me mentally wired for the challenge.
It couldn't have been a better organized race. The volunteers were outstanding and the support along the race course couldn't be better. The logistics to run a race like this must be unbelievable.
Now I need to step up and work on learning to race. I have to work on the basics of swim stroke and biking. I have to get more than comfortable with both. The running
