  • Comments: Did really well in the swim and bike. Need to practice transitions. Long lines at start through a lot of people off. When the called for the first 50 swimmers the place went nuts. The more I think about this race the better I feel about it. The run let me down but the rest went very well. Meeting up with BTer and master swimmers from my club was enjoyable. Psyched for the next Tri.

  • Comments: The race organizers did a poor job. This company does a number of races in the area and normally does a very good job. I don't know what happened on this one. But they should have gotten people their numbers on Saturday. Then, they compounded it by being late this morning, making check-in a big mess. Lastly, pizza at 9:30 AM isn't really what I'd call interesting. Especially for someone who can't eat pizza due to allergies.

  • Comments: The parts handled by the town of Pittsford were kind of bumpy and showed inexperience with race organization. The parts handled by Score-This were spot on as usual. This is low key opener/warm up for the tri season around Rochester. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for first timers due to the rolling nature of the course. If you have a heavier bike and/or aren't an experienced cyclist and runner the hills on this course can be really tough. Also the level of organization isn't really representative of other races. If you are an experienced runner/cyclist or triathlete and are looking for a good early season tune up with a hilly course, this fits the bill. I'll be there again next year.

  • Comments: The had more water on the run course this year, that was an improvement. I did notice a couple of spots that should have had a volunteer at that didn't. It also seemed that the race organization was not quite as good as last year. Last year they seemed to start racers based on swim times, though this year it seemed that it wasn't based on this. That caused for some congestion in the pool at times. Swim started on a 20 second start clock instead of the 30 second they used last year. This course is difficult because of the hills, if you can't ride and run hills well it's not a race to do.

  • Comments: The start was a bit of a mess. Turning up earlier wouldn't have helped cos the organisers weren't ready with the bibs. Standing in a long queue waiting for this and body marking etc in the rain was not fun. Didn't have time to think about anything after that except set out transition and rush to pool as I was number 49 and they were calling 1 to 50. Was one corner on run I wish they had a volunteer but luckily I knew the route quite well. There wasn't an arrow or anything on that particular turn. Full points to helpful smiling, encouraging volunteers on a rainy Sunday morning! There was pizza, cookies and cold drinks at end which was nice. However, given the weather after the first 10minutes I really could have done with a hot drink. Also fruit would have been nice. There was a long wait for awards etc at end but that was always going to be the nature of the event with a staggered start and waiting for last person to finish. I am sure the wait would have been OK if the weather
