  • Comments: This is one of my 3 favorite running races of the year. J&A does a great job, and I always look forward to all of their events (never ran Valentine's day race) Beer (blue moon) is one of my favorites. Limit is 2, but I've never had problems getting as many as I want. (If I put as much into my running as I do in scoring extra beer.... I'd PR every race.) Weather was sketch today. I'd have stayed a bit longer, if it didn't start raining. I wore shorts, underarmor and long sleve shirt.... could have done without the underarmor layer. By mile 3 I was over-heating, and no way to remove any layers. For my current fitness level, this was about as good as it was going to get. I have HR data for mile splits, but will have to update them later. (updated) Avg HR was 165 for the course, so no doubt I gave it my all. I did not stop at any point, so I'm very pleased with my results. Had to walk twice during a 5k, not two months ago. I've devinately improved.... with a long way to go

  • Comments: There is usually a drink station at the 2 mile mark.. Wasnt there.. so it really sucked.. First drink station was around the 3.5 - 4 mile mark.
