  • Comments: This is a good venue for a triathlon. They did Oly Nationals here about 4 years ago so they must be doing something right! The race is very smoothly run and the volunteers are fantastic. There is good police presence. The only restrooms are the beach restrooms so about 6 restrooms for the ladies (no idea for the men); no porto-potties. The water is generally quite clean and very few weeds. No medals but top 3 in each AG get pint glasses; there is a raffle at the end based on bib numbers (I got a t-shirt). Swag bag includes a water bottle, cliff bar, and you get free picture downloads which is very cool.

  • Comments: I was nearly hit by a car on the bike and literally forced off the road on the run. I would have liked to have seen some more volunteers out there to try to help keep the competitors safe. One truck came through towing a trailer and they left my no more than 3 feet of road to run on. I had to go over into the thick weeds on the side of the road to avoid being hit! On the bike, a car came out of a side street and only came to a stop about 2 feet from my bike. Motorists were not very respectful of the competitors and there were many vehicles that moved only a very little to give you space to race.

  • Comments: Great venue and well organized race. Disappointed to learn after the fact that this did not qualify for the National Championships as it had been advertised.

  • Comments: Good race, well organized and a great venue. We stayed for the weekend and it was nice to relax before the race. I should mention that I tapered really well and got tons of rest the week before which contributed to my good race.
