  • Comments: Festive race in a beautiful community. The run out is on a beautiful oak-lined drive for the first 4 miles. Really enjoyable. Great post-race activities with free food, beer, and live music. Awesome free race photos for all runners!

  • Comments: Kudos to the volunteers for braving the rain, wind & lightning. Well done race that should be on your list if you are anywhere nearby. In the grand scheme of things, one bad race isn't the end of the world. My family could care less if I ran a 1:20, 2:20 or 3:20 HM. I'm happy that I made it through relatively unscathed and am even healthy enough (and have the financial wherewithal) to train and race pretty much whenever I want to. I need to focus on my blessings and not my disappointments and move on. Doesn't necessarily remove the sting of a bad performance but as long as I learn from it I'll be fine.

  • Comments: Despite blowing up, I still got a PR. Not the one I was hoping for, but I'm not complaining. It'll come... On the other hand, I am totally stoked to see Samuel and James finish their first genuine 5K race. They were both fantastic. Samuel was chomping at the bit. (He got up at 4:45 and asked me whether we could go ahead and get over there...) He did a great job, as did James.

  • Comments: This race was bigger than I expected it to be, and very well run. Superbly done for an inaugural race. If it fits in my schedule, I'll do it again. And I'm over the moon with the result. 2nd in masters (to the guy I let go!), first in AG, 10th overall. I wouldn't have predicted ANY of those things!

  • Comments: Overall race is awesome. TON's of water stations and plenty of food, massages and events afterward. It's unreal to believe that this was the first year for this race. It's VERY well run. The only thing that could be better is a timing mat at the start. Everyone's time is a gun time due to this.
