  • Comments: I waited around for the awards ceremony and finally gave up. They didn't post any of the unofficial results ahead of time so I had no idea how I placed. They had (one slice) of free pizza after the race but they ran out and i had to wait for it. There were a few dangerous potholes on the course that were not marked. having hot showers available at the race site was a nice plus.

  • Comments: The organization at the start set a bad tone for the rest of the race. Waiting in line for an hour to fill out two forms I ALREADY FILLED OUT online was not cool. And the 6 porta potties for every participent, volunteer, and spectator? Also not cool. There were a ton of volunteers, but I think they needed more training, it seemed like they were just told to go places and direct people... The only exceptions were the kayakers, the directing in the lake was very well done with a lot of people telling you if you went off course. An improvement from last year though.

  • Comments: No medal. Little food when I finished. This is really a race for the collegiate championships. Not very many "others" involved. Great race to try for an Age Group award because there aren't many people in each age group.

  • Comments: This was a great experience and it gave me a lot to think about over the winter. The venue was exceptional and there were many volunteers everywhere. It was such a good experience my wife Loretta now has the triathlon bug and plans to do one next summer.
