  • Comments: Was particularly disappointed that there were no awards for the overall finishers. Race director announced that she hadn't gotten donations to cover them, so there were none (there were medals for the age group finishes). Between that, and the poor marking/incorrect instructions on the run, I don't think I'll do this one again. I don't think you have to spend a lot of money on awards, but for goodness sake, bake up some cookies or something.

  • Comments: First year race at the oly distance. Would like to see a better thought out bike course without speed bumps closer to the right distance. Maps for the bike online were nonexistant until a couple of days before the race and ended up being wrong. I had a good time. I will thank whoever turned the wind machine off. The day before the race and shortly after the wind was howling. The race however was great.

  • Comments: It's a REALLY small race in its second year but it is very well done and it is a very nice venue for this part of New Mexico. I drove 2 hours from Albuquerque to do the race and it was well worth it.

  • Comments: There are a few bugs to work out in this race. The distances in all three legs were not what they were billed to be and having a map of course available at packet pick up would have been helpful.

  • Comments: this course has HUGE potential...many volunteers but truly not very helpful...they tried but many if not all have never seen a triathlon and did not quite understand that triathletes when exerting may not see a small marking on the road that indicates a turn, etc.
