  • Comments: I love this race! There isn't much I can say about the race venue and the general atmosphere surrounding it. The downside to the race was the awards presentation. It took to long to get them presented and by the time they got to the presentation most of the people left and weren't there to pick up the awards. One thing I did like was that they cut the ceremony short and let us grab and go. they checked to make sure it was your award but it was easy to pick up and leave. The best thing about this race wasn't my award or my AG placement or time (especially since I was slower this year than last). My best race moment was knowing that Lis enjoyed herself and finished her first race with an almost immediate desire to sign up for another. I think she's hooked! She says she won't start running and that's fine with me. I am simply happy, very happy that she has found something to help her enjoy something fitness related and she'll have new targets and goals to go with it. Results:

  • Comments: I love this race! I still can't put together why this race appeals to me so much but I will continue to run it as long as I am willing and able. I would like to see the online posting of the official results a little sooner. As of right now, nothing has been posted yet 8AM Friday morning. I also understand it is a Thanksgiving Day race so I certainly understand not putting a high priority on posting the results. As big as this race is I would think there would be some type of awards too. I have seen them in the past here (a few years ago) and this year I stuck around to see because I knew I had a shot at an award. I run this race and others for the enjoyment of running and the sport and not for the awards. But I have seen much smaller races have awards.   • Comments: I love this race for some reason. I am not positive why.The field has grown a lot since I first ran this race 4 years ago but it is very fun to see all the families out exercising together. I am glad this race is growing but I hope it doesn't get much bigger. Much bigger and I think there could be some pretty good logistical issues, such as parking and space in the corrals. That said I don't think they should limit the field either.

  • Comments: Hats go off to the organizers this year. This was the first year that the packet pick up was allowed the night before. This greatly streamlines the start of the race. The 2008 race was at least 15 minutes late getting started because of the number of unregistered participants and the pre-registered picking up their packets.

  • Comments: This race is in it's third year and I will continue to do it every year. It is growing every year, the first year had 50 people or so and this year was 275.
