  • Comments: For both the 5150 and the concurrent sprint race there were pretty small fields. I think this is due to the date change from the prior year and holding it on a holiday weekend. The 5150 competitors that were there were very good and I was not on top of my game like I had hoped to be. I had a great weekend tri-cation, but next time I visit New Orleans it will just be to vacation, without adding in a triathlon.

  • Comments: The race had to be changed to a Run Bike Run race due to weather. Wind contidions had 2-3 foot whitecaps on the lake. Disappointing. However the city put on a good show with plenty of officials on the course- Few participants were disappointing and the number of cheering people was pretty low.... the 70.3 was just a month prior to this event... maybe if the two were in the opposite order, more people could use the olympic as a training primer to the 70.3 and everyone would benefit.
