  • Comments: I really do like this race! It's organized and fun, plus racing with all girls is awesome. They also do a lot of cool stuff like- printed race results at the finish, lots of pink everywhere, lots of IronGirl branded freebies at the expo, 'fake' mimosas at the finish. I think my only complaint is that they could do a little better going over some beginner rules for triathlon- how and where to set up your t-area, where to rack your bike, rules about passing on the bike, etc. Maybe they did do this and no one listened. Who knows.

  • Comments: Very well run race. Little problem with announcement's at race start, but otherwise well marked. I felt VERY safe of the ride which is always my biggest concern. Cafe after event was first class! Will be there next year...hopefully in better health and can place in age group (top three goal).

  • Comments: If it hadn't been for the swim instructions, I think it was the best organized race I have ever been to. It was fun being in a all women's event. They had a table clothes on the tables and lot of fun give aways. I would recommend this race to anyone. I think it is a very challenging first race, however.

  • Comments: IMO, for a race that has so many first timers, I'm surprised thay have an 18 mi. bike. It would be quite easy to nix a couple streets and make it 15 or 16. Really great supporters and volunteers. I hear the post race food was good but I didn't stick around for it, I wanted some Cracker Barrel. Overall good set up. I love Lake Lanier, but they have got to do something about that hill up to T1. I'm sure I'll do it again, it was a great experience. And it was really nice to be one of the one's that cheered first timers on. I was happy to be that girl today. I think I'll have to do that more often.

  • Comments: Really happy with today's race. I feel like I can still improve my swim (but at least I didn't panic) and I can also improve my run. Was happy to run as well as I did cause I had a pretty bad cramp in my left quad from that tough bike. And I didn't walk at all. Last year this was my first race and my time was 2:01 so I have come a long way. As Dan pointed out, my picture from last year showed that I had a side view mirror on my bike - this year no mirror and aero bars!
