  • Comments: The hot dog truck was closing down before the last people finished. They just had chips and some drinks, and a few orange slices. I dont think I would do this race again.

  • Comments: I will return next year and do much better. I snuffed my training the last two weeks and should not have. While I thought the swim would be 1:30 it was only :46 which was pretty good all things considered! The bike was a disappointment even though I was riding, I thought, well. Finally the run, well what can I say. The run is really what pulled me 6 minutes over, although my I accomplished my goal of completing my first Olympic Triathlon. I need to be honest and train much more. I really slacked off during my entire training period. Not bad for a Retired 90% Disabled Vet who underwent nine major surgeries last year, including disc replacement, shoulder reconstruction, and major face reconstruction! The $6 Man survived, to do it all over again!

  • Comments: It was an incredibly beautiful day for a race. A little cool at the start but you warm up quick. Seeing the sunrise over the lake was picturesque. I met some cool people walking from the parking lot and just had a great experience.
