  • Comments: overall a decent race, I had fun doing it. I may do it again next year. It's close to home and the bike segment was vastly improved over the previous year's course. new lesson learned this race - if weather is to be foul, tape gel's to top tube at home or someplace where the bike can remain dry during application. I did not loose any gels but they flopped around some as one side of the tape job was not bonding very well to the frame.

  • Comments: This was a good decision. I decided the goal was to finish and not race this one. I'm glad to finish a race and be happy about just finishing. Quite a few did not complete this race and I'm happy I made it and wasn't last in any of the 3 sections. I'm not hooked and ready to do more of these but I am very happy I did this one. Who knows if it rains a bit more before this race and it pops up again next year I may give it another shot.

  • Comments: Hopefully next year it won't be as dry so the course would be a bit more tacky. This year's race was BRUTAL because of the heat and sand.
