  • Comments: This is a well-run very organized event, clear (ish) water and a great course. It is attended by a wide range of triathletes from professionals to first timers.

  • Comments: I am not that competitive by nature, but my wife and I are a little competitive this year against each other. I thought I might be able to beat her on the sprint because I would be able to put some time into her on the bike and hold her off on the run. She has placed 1st in her age division at her 2 previous sprint triathlons, so this was going to be no easy task. Well as a ex-collegiate runner she ended up beating my by 2 minutes and taking 2nd in her age group against the toughest competition she has had yet. However I think my wife is a bike shark (kind of like a billiards shark, she pretends she is not that good but come race time kick s some but.) When I go on training rides with her, she will make it seem like she is doing the best she can, but when she rides alone or in races she always kicks the pace way up. I am really proud of her, however since I promised her a race bike and wheels like mine I am worried that the free speed she is going to gain is going to take away any
