  • Comments: Course was well marked. Lots of volunteers. Several spots with music and cheerleaders. I didn't really see much of post-race activities. There wasn't much organization to the post-race activities. Lots of people just walking around and noone seemed to know what was going on. Post race food wasn't great (banana, roll, granola bar and some taffy). Medals were very cool!

  • Comments: While I'm not a fan of point to point since getting to the race, getting back to the car and getting out the parking lot (oy) were not exactly fun, this is a great race otherwise. Course was decent and they do their best to communicate lots about the race, getting ready for the race, etc.

  • Comments: Great course, flat, fast and scenic...Usually early May doesn't see 90 degrees. I'd race this again for sure - although the food/drinks post race were subpar - rinky dink granola bar and a mushy banana. They should also have more aid stations. Felt bad for the marathoners - lots of aid was gone by their second loop. Many folks along the course had hoses, water, pretzels, etc. Great crowd support.

  • Comments: The shuttles got lost going to the event from the parking event and the race was about 30 minutes behind schedule.

  • Comments: Good organization...big crowds; very flat and somewhat scenic course; wonderful crowd support. A car accident kept the race from starting on time.

  • Comments: Due to traffic issues the race started late. It could have been much worse of course, and it was only a few minutes.

  • Comments: First race is in the books. I felt like a chump because everyone else ran the full marathon but there's always next time. Next big (running) race will probably be the Flying Pig marathon in Cincinnati in May '08.

  • Comments: This race is a little pricey, but it really was worth every penny. The crowd support was good, the ocean start and finish were dramatic, and the volunteers were great. I will most likely do this race or the full marathon next year.
