  • Comments: This was the first time this race series has started on time. The RD made quite a few announcements ahead of time to the effect that the event WILL start on time and he kept his word. Refreshing change!

  • Comments: If the incident on the bike hadn't happened it wouldn't have changed my placement in the race, but a lot of other personal goals would've happened. I was 30 seconds slower than the first race of this series, so I would've probably beaten that; my average bike speed was JUST under 20 mph, so I would've definitely gotten that; Bob beat me by 40 seconds and I definitely would've been closer to his time if not beat him by a little.

  • Comments: Dropped the bike off on the way home at the LBS to get a FULL tuneup, especially the rear brake! (Also had them put on some new cool-looking handlebar tape!)
