  • Comments: Results Sadly, I was sort of robbed. The timing company switched and missed a guy, so I got bumped off the podium at awards. It was a fun race, and I beat my target by a minute - from the bike and swim. My run was slower than I expected; I was hoping for a sub-7 pace, so I had had a good swim to make up for it! s/b/r/t1-2 5/5/3/2 of 15 ag 78/33/44/39 281 overall I knew I had a balanced, solid race, but was surprised by the run split. The swim felt really fast, the steep, windy bike was podium-fast, and I thought I paid for it with a slow run. I did, but so did everyone else. Here are the numbers: s/b/r/t1-t2, I was 5/5/3/2 of 15 in the ag and 78/33/44/39 out of 281 overall. - I have to admit again that I'm a runner ;) - I had my best swim ever at a 1:35-1:40/100m pace, and am stoked that I was about 1/4 of the way back in a So Cal field.   • Comments: KOZ Enterprises did a fantastic job putting on this race. The expo was very good for the size of the race and the post race events were good as well. The volunteers were both plentiful and very helpful. It was a great first race experience!

  • Comments: Kudos to KOZ Enterprises. This was one of the most organized events I have ever been a part of. They did a great job with just about everything on race day. The only small criticism I have is that they need better directions for those coming from out of town for the expo. We drove around for about 1/2 an hour trying to find the parking lot. If you are not familiar with San Diego or the area, getting to and from this event could be difficult. Overall however, I would highly recommend this event and will probably be doing it again next year.

  • Comments: I manage to get all my goal.1st finish. 2nd finish within the times that I trained for. 3rd not be the last person in my age group.I feel that I have a lot more in my engine and in my fuel thank I just got to train more in the long runs to gain confidence that I can finish in good time and not just finsh.

  • Comments: A well organized race! Good one for beginners. Lots of post-race food and goodies. A great get-away for us desert-dwellers!! Next year it's the International distance!! I'm pumped!!
