  • Comments: As always, Delmo runs an exceptional race. Mr. Hollywood loves to bring the best and he does. Weather is beyond control but we were warned. Course is great and can be super fast when not really hot. My PR is from here and I'll never beat it.

  • Comments: The volunteers were great. The course was OK. The medal was nice but there were no finisher hats and just a string backpack like you might get at a local 5K! I would not recommend this race unless they fix their issues with access to parking on race morning.

  • Comments: better organization of swim entry - need coral that allows people to be in line 6-abreast. A little chaotic going in the water.

  • Comments: Delmo puts on nothing but top notch races and this was another one. Just so super organized and the vibe always so exciting and positive. Just a super experience when you can think about it after the fact and pain is over! Probably won't be back next year as race is scheduled for daughter's bday but hopefully the year after.

  • Comments: This was a very well-run event. Delmo does a great job, from keeping athletes informed beforehand to covering all logistics during the event. I wasn't that enthusiastic about the course, though. Cycling on the AC Expressway sounds cool, and the course is technically closed, but having just a line of small cones to protect you from traffic speeding along in the other lanes is terrifying. And while running on the boardwalk is nice, the AC boardwalk is a depressing place to be right now, which didn't help my mindset on that portion of the course (the Ventnor section was really nice, though). I would absolutely do a Delmo race again, but I'm not sure if I want to repeat this one.

  • Comments: This is the first time Ironman ran this race. They put on a great race. The city was inviting and the course was good. The swim course will have to be re-evaluated… I think if they start closer to the bridge it would take the current out of the course. The bike was totally flat and the run was flat as well. The heat was a factor for me. Late summer is tricky to plan on the weather… On Monday, it poured with thunder and lightning and driving winds. It would have probably cancelled the race.
