  • Comments: I had so much fun and could not believe my time when I finished. I was shooting for 1:20 and when I finished the clock was 1:13:xx and I thought I did great and then I realized I was in the third wave so my time was even better than I thought. This will be a great benchmark for me. What an incredibibly beautiful day for a race. I am certainly learning what my body can take and was pleased to still have a little gas left in the end for a good kick to finish. I didn't hold much back but was probably in the 90-95% of effort.

  • Comments: This was a fun race, and a great way to kick off the season. The weather was great, there were tons of volunteers, and I felt sufficiently trained. This race has an easygoing atmosphere, too. Some of the KC Multisport people did the race on "old school" chopper-style bikes & wearing only their tighty whities. One guy was dressed like Elvis too. And their transistions involved Krispy Kremes. I think this is a Heritage Park tri tradition. Maybe I should join them next year! This was a fun, fun race.
