  • Comments: This is a great race, with a fast, flat course and usually the beginning of cooler fall weather. I may be looking for a PR again next year here. They might want to consider actually holding between corrals to ease congestion, but I was happy overall.

  • Comments: I hate to call a half marathon easy, but there is no section of the course that challenges you. Perfect first half-marathon - course has lots of shade, tons of aid stations and race was very well organized. Loved the corral start - much better than Broad Street Run start.

  • Comments: How can you complain about a race you PR'd on? It was a beautiful day to run, the weather was awesome and it was a pretty course. There were lots of volunteers and unlike finishing IMLP, I actually heard the announcer say "Here's Beth Sanborn from Lansdale". It was a great day all in all.

  • Comments: Great Race! Was my first half marathon last year, ran 1:35:46, then ran the Disney half in January 08, the day before I tried (and failed) to qualify for Boston, at 8:19pace, and this was my 3rd half, with a new PR! Goal for Vegas Half on December 7, 2008: Beat 7minute pace. Secondary goal: Break 1:30:00!

  • Comments: Philly is a great race, and I recommend it for those who like half marathons or those looking to do a first half. It's well supported, well staffed, and overall a lot of fun. One gripe, the medals were a lot better last year. They were bigger, and didn't have the stupid ING logo on it. I generally hate medals with the sponsor's logo on it (the Baltimore marathon is an exception, since I just think UA has a cool logo). This is one more of the elite races I've done this year, so I only need San Jose to get the Rockstar medal and San Antonio (registered for both) to get all the medals they offer, including the Super 6! I plan on running San Jose as an easy training run, since I'm racing in the Baltimore marathon 6 days later.

  • Comments: A 'class A' race. The women's US silver medalist in the 2008 Beging Olympics was running this race. Certainly adds to the stature. Volunteers great, energy very high and the largest crowd in race history. I've never run with that many people in the same place before. AWESOME!!
