  • Comments: This is advertised as a race, but no timing is done at all. Kind of defeats the point. I really don't like paying to go on large group rides. It was supposed to be about seeing how competitive I can be in future races. As it is, I still don't know if I could race a tortoise or not.

  • Comments: My second time doing ERock. I probably won't do it again, mainly because it's hard to get the training in with the weather as unpredictable as it is in the spring.

  • Comments: Any ride with 9000+ riders will be a bit of a hassle at aid stations just getting in/out safely. This is always a crowded event, some people just cruising, some people trying to hammer it. But overall a great ride! See my training blog for photos.

  • Comments: This is the 2nd time I've done this, and this event has been the only cycling event I've ever done. 7000 riders so even after the 100 course split there were plenty of bikes on the road.

  • Comments: I would probably do this ride again, however I might try and leave earlier than 6:00 AM next time. It seemed a bit over crowded at the start, going over Lake Gulch. Also the aid stations seemed a little chaotic, there were quite a few people kinda wondering out on the road like they were lost or something. Also what's with the ipods?

  • Comments: Enjoyed everything about this ride, except the construction just before Palmer Lake making the road into a deep gravel pit where lots of folks almost lost it.

  • Comments: Highly recommend this ride! Good smooth roads. Almost no traffic. about 3 miles total of questionable road. If there's a big south wind like today, the last 35 miles are really something special.
