Comments: A fun race. Somewhat disorganized:started late; then they tried to have a pre-race meeting near the registration table but most people were already at the starting line; couldn't hear any announcements at the start so I just had to watch the people around me to know when my wave was starting; it would have been nice to have mile markers on the 2nd run.

Comments: I had fun! This was new to me, pacing things and running pretty much at threshold pace the entire race. And even though it felt slow, the numbers say otherwise, and I think I had a damn good race out there. Ended up in the top 100 out of around 500 or so, and #14 in my AG (40+ people I think). I have to learn to not get so caught up in speed that I sacrifice the remiaing portions. I hammered that bike course, and I felt it on the next run. Had I slowed it down a bit, who knows? I doubt I would have run it too much faster, but you just never know.... Great start to the season though, and I'm psyched to keep racing this year!

Comments: Except for starting 20 minutes late it was a good race. I'm really hoping I didn't make a stupid decision by doing this. Overall happy with my 1st run & bike though. New 5k PR without even trying (and I was 8-10 beats below LT) so I'm making progress.
