  • Comments: It's a no-frills relatively informal race, but the people doing the race are competent enough that nothing important is missing. The swim is really nice. Relatively easy for an open-water swim because the water is clear and it's easy to sight, but it's a long enough swim that you can't phone it in.

  • Comments: this was the first event of its kind here- Fleet Feet sponsored it and the RD was apologetic in advance in case anything went wrong- it was perfect. Low key, cozy, informal... I can;t wait to do this each month! Per today's log entry, i need to relax, and take the pressure off any way I can. The way I chose to do this race did exactly that. I am pleased, and look forward to being active and healthy in all ways, and if it means not racing at races, so be it.
