  • Comments: Overall I'm satisfied. I had hoped to finish a couple of minutes faster (as everyone does) and I think I was poised to do so with my training. Had some sickness issues which really dissapointed me since I really had trained very hard. Oh well, I still finished 3 minutes or so faster than last year and it was still fun. Looks like I should finish second in masters for the overall series again this year. Bluesky usually puts on great events however the last two post race events have been pretty marginal. Once again splits were all jacked up for many racers (not me this time) and the awards ceremony was very late. I try not to be too critical, but we are paying and traveling a long way for some of these races. Thanks to neal for jockstrapping and driving on the way back so I could sleep!

  • Comments: Overall it was a fun race despite the poor weather. I will remember to bring some extra chow with me for those rain delays! Damn I was hungry. It seemed everyone took it in stride and seemed to have a good time. I had an awesome time chatting and hanging out. Congrats to NAMSCers Sara, and Leslie for bringing home medals!

  • Comments: It was a surprise to podium in my age group. I have never ever expecting the medal at all with the time I clocked in. I am happy to accept the medal as a consolation prize for even racing in this race. I had planned to miss this race a month ago due to the condition of my post surgery healing progress. I have wrote an email to the race director to take my name of the list but they did not when I checked the participant list a week before the race. So, I told myself if I can ride 12 miles without any pain, then I will race. 3 days before the race, I rode on Silver Comet for the first time and my butt did not feel any major pain. So, here I am. My goal prior to this race was to have fun, finish the race, and not aggrevate the wound. Mission accomplished plus a bonus. Not bad considering I still have stitches on my rear end, eh .... LOL.... A day to remember, indeed.

  • Comments: RUN COURSE NEED MORE MILE MARKERS. I only saw the first mile marker -- that was it. That was it ... otherwise I had fun. Even though I did not achieve my set goals for this race (came sooooooooo close) I now know what I need to fit. My main goal was to be overall top 10. If I counted correctly, I am one spot out of the top 10.... SUCKS! I blame it on my lack of sleep, long drive, and shoe clip malfunction. LOL .... Now, I feel better already. I finally saw..well..one BTer ... Hello there, runnergirl29!! I hope you found the rest of them! I was particularly proud of my buds from Carroll County -- 3 out 5(including me) placed top 3 in their AG!! Bravo! In other words, all of us place well in each AG. Next race will be a drag out brutal race....CHEERS! And by the by -- this race was also the state of Georgia Sprint Championship(Tri/DU) and Southeast region USAT Grand Prix Duathlon Series.
