  • Comments: each race is a learning experience. as much as the competitive side of me wants to finish well I am getting so much out of just competing. I will do better. I will improve. I am learning volumes right now and continue to do so each race.

  • Comments: This is a good race - the Subaru people do a great job of organizing things, and the course is really challenging. They couldn't help the weather which really put a literal damper on things. I think I needed to be more prepared for the climbs - I thought I liked climbing hills...I guess not so much. I'm pretty disappointed with my bike on this, actually, but stoked about my run split. Maybe I should just stick to running...

  • Comments: Hard to say anything bad. It's slick and well organized. Oh crap, except for the timers screwing up my times. What's up with that? Was my battery in my transponder dead? Don't you think they should test this stuff out? Brutal. But whatever, at least I could more or less figure it out. :S Edit: The timing chip guys found my transponder and I've got my actual times. I was pretty close with my guesstimating. My exact time was bang-on, and everything else other than the bike was within 15 seconds. Not bad. Standings still to be updated on the site, but I think they should be correct.

  • Comments: Didn't stay for the post race. I was cold and everything was wet due to the rain.
