  • Comments: I am happy with my race. The longest swim and bike I have raced and now I have a mass open water swim under my race belt. I plan to do it again next year and think I can make some serious improvements in my time. If I coudl cut 5 min from the swim 15 from the bike and 7 from the run it would put me somewhere in the fron 1/2 of the pack and move me up a bunch in my age group. Not bad for a $20 race.

  • Comments: I enjoyed the race, and the volunteers were great. I wasn't able to stay around for the results. They only announced them and didn't print out the results at the race site. And they still haven't posted them online nearly a week later, so i only have a vague idea of how i did. Despite my sucky bike leg its possible that i placed in my age group and i would really like to know.

  • Comments: The course was great. Wish I could have found out PRIOR to the race. The course was not marked by the evening before, nor were maps or directions available. ...major disappointment. I like to drive or ride the bike and run courses prior to the race and this was not possible. While the venue was beautiful, the water in the swim was so murky there was NO visability .. like in a dark room with a blanket over your head. Hats off to the volunteers on the bike course helping to control traffic. They did a great job. It was an open course, but they had intersection held up for us.

  • Comments: Below last years events. One or two more water stations would have been nice on the run, especially since it was over 100 degrees. Otherwise pretty good.
