  • Comments: The best thing about this race is Block Island. It is a very funky, local race with a lot of character. Do not come if you are interested in records or get upset if everything doesn't run hyper-smoothly.

  • Comments: Beautiful course and great people. I wish there would have been a bigger deal post race (awards, congrats, etc)...everyone just kind of dispersed and went to the beach to chill. It has to be tough to organize a race like this at an open town beach on a gorgeous day. We want to go back next year and stay longer..we had to leave that evening. WE DID IT!!! OUR FIRST TRI WAS A SUCCESS! We are still on our natural high telling everyone we know...Thanks to everyone at BT.com, we learned a lot from everyone in the forums!

  • Comments: The organization was kind of all over the place. NOt a very secure bike transition area made me a little nervous. Almost running over a kid really was uncool. Making the next to last turn on bike route and having to deal with traffic was uncool. It would be nice to know split times rather than just total time. The starting in heats went really well. Much better than last year evidently. I would probably do this race again if I were on the island at the time the race was scheduled, but I won't go out of my way to do it again.

  • Comments: this race will always be special to me because it was my first. but the bike leg was beautiful and just enough of a challenge.
